About the Prize
Since 2006 thousands of artists from all over the world have participated, the works have been exhibited in Venice and many other places and many have been purchased.
Hundreds of international experts from various countries have judged the works of the candidate artists.
The International Art Prize is the brainchild of Cultural Association MoCA, and is an art competition dedicated to the visual arts, in particular painting, sculpture, photography, video art and performance, virtual and digital art. It was created to give the opportunity to art talents to be noticed by the general public and by the jury composed of important names in the contemporary art scene, as well as to allow a democratic comparison between international artists.
Their goal is to create an increasingly authoritative and influential system in the world of contemporary art by involving new players from year to year.
More insights on our Artworks
Why shouldn't Walkers have a quote from Thonet, the Campana brothers, a Max Bill or other design big names? Why shouldn't walkers also remind their user:s haptically, visually and olfactorically of beloved hobbies?
"The pieces represent examples of critical design to demonstrate the shortcoming in the design of - in this case, walkers - used by a large and ever-growing target group. In this way, the right to self-determined and self-confident aesthetics is claimed and aging is shown with its also funny, witty and crazy appearances." Mateus-Berr explains motif and background.
