About
The upcoming Event that incorporates the 36th National Meeting of APECV and the 4th Congress of the Ibero-American Art Education Network (RIAEA), from May 24th to 26th, 2024, tries to push boundaries and think the impossible: go beyond the obvious and dream of greater perspectives sustainable solutions for artistic education. To encourage dialogue the Congress has a multimodal format, integrating exhibitions in various media and models and the construction of partnerships in the area of Artistic Education.
The event consists of presentations, workshops, performances and exhibitions by researchers, teachers and educators from various countries and disciplines. As always, at RIAEA congresses the level of sharing is of excellent scientific and pedagogical quality. The hosts, students and teachers from the António Sérgio School Group welcome participants with workshops facilitated by students, performances and, to finish, a circular walking route through several historic parishes of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto.

I am honored to be invited to open this great event, the 36th National Meeting of APECV and 4th Congress of the Ibero-American Art Education Network, together with Maria Jesus Agra later this month in Portugal.
It will be a great event, with lots of talks, interesting discussions mind-opening views and dialogue. I am very much looking forward to it!
